Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from human tuftsin, developed in Russia. It acts as an anxiolytic without the sedative or addictive effects of benzodiazepines, modulating serotonin, dopamine and the GABA system. It is administered primarily by the intranasal route and has a rapid onset of action (15–30 minutes). Used clinically in Russia for generalized anxiety disorders.

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from human tuftsin, studied as an anxiolytic that modulates serotonin, dopamine and the GABA system without the sedative or addictive effects of benzodiazepines. Research also explores its effects on mental clarity, memory and the stress response. For research use only.
In research protocols Selank is administered primarily by the intranasal route (preferred) or subcutaneously, with a rapid reported onset of action of 15–30 minutes. A standard reference dose is 500 mcg taken 2–3 times a day during episodes of anxiety or stress.
Reconstituting 10 mg in 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5 mg/mL, equal to 50 mcg per IU (or per nasal puff). Common reference points: 250 mcg = 5 IU / 1 puff (0.05 mL), 500 mcg = 10 IU / 2 puffs (0.10 mL), and 1 mg = 20 IU / 4 puffs (0.20 mL). The universal formula is IU = (dose in mcg ÷ 50).
After reconstitution, label the vial with the date and refrigerate at 2–8 °C, where it remains stable for 28 days. Only chill the water for 3 minutes before reconstituting — very cold water can freeze the peptide, reduce its effect or damage it.
